summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

The accompanying agreement is between the City of Pompano Beach and the State of Florida Department of Health, Broward County Health Department to support a public vaccination site. Due to the public health emergency we are in, we thought it was in the best interest of time to have the agreement signed prior to the upcoming Commission meeting. At this time staff is seeking Commission approval to ratify the subject agreement. Also, a presentation will be given at the meeting in relation to this item.

Origin of request for this action: Fire Department/Emergency Management Division

Fiscal impact and source of funding: Cost is undetermined at this time. Based on the current costs to run the COVID-19 Food Distribution Site, we are estimating costs to be approximately $15,000 monthly to be paid from the Disaster Recovery Fund.  Staff will also seek out grants for reimbursement of these costs.
