Summary Explanation/Background:
Staff is requesting approval of a one (1) year agreement with Denison Parking, Inc. (Denison) to continue to serve as the City’s parking ambassador, inclusive of managing the Pier Parking Garage and provide for parking enforcement services. The City has utilized the services of Denison for the past five (5) years. The City is currently in the middle of a Step 2 Request for Proposals process for the construction of a second parking garage on the Oceanside surface lot site and the extension of this agreement for a one (1) year period will allow time for the City to evaluate those proposals and to make a determination as to the long-term management of both the Pier Parking Garage and the new Oceanside Parking Garage.
