summary
Summary Explanation/Background:
The proposed resolution seeks the Commission’s approval of a Temporary Access Agreement for the Shore Protection Project, Segment II between the City and Broward County. The agreement provides the County temporary access on, over, across, and through City Property to facilitate the beach tilling and escarpment removal components of a previously completed beach restoration project. The agreement also allows for “Staging Areas” to stage and store vehicles and equipment overnight that are necessary to conduct the beach tilling operation. The beach tilling and escarpment removal is a task included in the previous federally funded beach renourishment project and therefore accomplished at no cost to the City.
Origin of request for this action: Broward County, Resilient Environment Department
