summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

Discussion of the services currently provided by Strategic Philanthropy, Inc. (SPI) under the City's Community Partnership Program, including a comparison of current contracted costs and estimated costs of bringing these services in-house.

Origin of request for this action: Budget Office

Fiscal impact and source of funding: There is no fiscal impact associated with this discussion item. The FY 2027 Budget includes $71,000 in the Budget Office for the current contract with Strategic Philanthropy, Inc. The estimated annual cost of bringing these services in-house is $146,954, approximately $78,626 more than the current contracted arrangement. Should the City Commission direct staff to pursue in-house administration, additional funding would need to be appropriated.
