Summary Explanation/Background:

The Utilities Department received a grant from the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) to fund the upgrade of four existing drinking water interconnects. Amendment number one was completed on March 31, 2020. This request is for the approval of amendment number two with the only change being the task end date of August 31, 2022.                                        

The project experienced delays attributed to the completion of interlocal agreements with the City of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County. Currently, both agreements are executed and preparations are underway to bid the project.
