Summary Explanation/Background:

This proposed agreement is between the City of Pompano Beach and the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management. It is a federally funded public assistance agreement based on the Presidential disaster declaration (FEMA- DR-4673) in response to Hurricane Ian.

The execution of this agreement is the first step to allow the City to submit for reimbursement for eligible Hurricane Ian expenditures in the amount of approximately $80,000.  This includes Emergency protective measures conducted before, during, and after the incident. Activities are eligible if the measures:
• Eliminate or lessen immediate threats to lives, public health, or safety; OR
• Eliminate or lessen immediate threats of significant additional damage to improved public or 
   private property in a cost-effective manner.
