Summary Explanation/Background:

The City entered into the original agreement via Resolution 2023-134 and the first amendment agreement via Resolution 2024-107.  At this time both parties have mutually agreed to extend the original agreement for an additional one-year period ending April 30, 2026.  The licensee will offer a program at North Ocean Park from June 2 - August 15, 2025,  which will provide instruction in ocean awareness and surfing fundamentals to include such topics as waves, tides, marine biology, coastal ecology and beach profiles.  The licensee shall pay the City a fee of $4,125 as compensation for the use of the City’s property and services.
