Summary Explanation/Background:
This is a City-initiated request by Michael Vonder Meulen of Keith, Inc., on behalf of the City of Pompano Beach. This agreement is required by Broward County in order to record a Plat Note Amendment that was administratively approved on May 12, 2020 (see attached Letter of No Objection). The plat note amendment was to accommodate the new Senior Community Center on a portion of the property fronting Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard (MLK). The project is 4.9 acres on a portion of Parcel A and proposes 8,472 square feet of senior center. The proposed note amendment is to allow 15,000 square feet of Community Facility to accommodate the project and eliminate the commercial uses currently on the plat. The agreement must be signed by the appropriate city officials prior to being executed by county staff and recorded in the public records.
