Summary Explanation/Background:

Due to some recent additional services and equipment offered by ADPI, we are requesting canceling the current contract and re-establishing a new agreement, which provides for both current and additional services at a lower cost to the City, as well as provides opportunities for significant increased revenues to the City.

 

Origin of request for this action: Staff

Fiscal impact and source of funding: A 5.25 % percent fee is assessed for all monies collected for funding: our EMS transport fee, plus $11.00 per processed Florida Medicaid account, as well as $700.00 monthly, for processing HIPAA-compliant Notice of Privacy Practices sent to each billed transported patient. Provide “Fleeteyes: tracking system, at a savings of $2500.00. Participate in an ongoing Federal Medicaid reimbursement program (CPE) with estimate reimbursements valued at $100,000 - $150,000 the first year, and approximately $600,000 to $700,000 the second year. ADPI will be paid from account number 140-22-30-522-45-55 (Ambulance-Special Services).
