summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

The applicant is requesting to rezone the property from General Industrial Planned Industrial Overlay (I-1/PCI) to General Industrial (I-1) in order to remove the master plan requirements from the property.  The total property includes 10.23 acres, which is located on the northwest corner of NW 33rd Street and NW 27th Avenue.  The property currently has no structures on it, and had been an area to be used for overflow parking.  The applicant wants to remove this property from the Festival Flea Market PCI Master Plan since the overflow parking has not been needed.  This rezoning request to revert back to the underlying zoning was unanimously recommended for approval by the Planning & Zoning Board at their February 26, 2020 meeting.

Origin of request for this action: Chris Collins, P.E., on behalf of Festival Real Estate, LLC,

Fiscal impact and source of funding: N/A
