summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

The memo from Dirk DeJong, President of the Sample McDougald Preservation Society attached to the Street Dual-Naming Application justifies dual naming NE 10th Street "Centennial Drive." The Elks Lodge is no longer located on the this road and renaming the road would help support Centennial Pak and the Sample McDougald Museum located at the city park.  The dual naming of the street is bound by Federal Highway on the east and NE 3rd Avenue on the west.  If the City Commission decides to dual name NE 10th Street, a resolution will be presented at a following meeting to formalize the change and the resolution which dual named the road "Elks Lodge Drive" will be rescinded.

Origin of request for this action: Mr. Dirk DeJong

Fiscal impact and source of funding: N/A
