summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

This resolution approves an amendment to the Resilient Florida Grant Agreement with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), providing an additional $28,500 in grant funding to complete final reporting deliverables for the City’s Vulnerability Assessment. This supplements the original $185,000 awarded under Section 380.093, Florida Statutes. The assessment, authorized by Resolution No. 2022-40 and conducted by RS&H, Inc., evaluates the vulnerability of City infrastructure and assets to climate-related stressors. The added funding requires no City match and will be reimbursed to the City upon completion of the grant. The resolution authorizes officials to execute the amendment and implement the grant terms, becoming effective immediately upon approval. Attachments include the revised grant agreement and the presentation from the May 13, 2025, City Commission meeting detailing the results of the Vulnerability Assessment.
