Summary Explanation/Background:
City Charter Section 74, “Elections; Canvass of Returns” states, “The result of the voting, when ascertained, shall be submitted to the City Clerk by the Supervisor of Elections of Broward County. Said returns shall be submitted by the City Clerk to the City Commission at the next City Commission meeting following said election, at which time the City Commission shall certify the results of the election by resolution.” Therefore, this Resolution is submitted for the City Commission to certify the official results of the November 5, 2024 Municipal General Election.
Please note: The Supervisor of Elections will release the official results on November 18, 2024. Upon receipt, it will be made part of the official records of the city.
