Summary Explanation/Background:
The amendment to the City’s Code creates a new Section 91.17, entitled “Pompano Beach Overnight Anchoring Limitation Area,” to establish anchoring limitations within the City in order to prevent the incidence of abandoned and derelict vessels, vessels at risk of becoming derelict, and prolonged vessel storage within the City’s public waterways, pursuant to Section 327.60, Florida Statutes, as amended during the preceding legislative session to authorize such action by the City.
