Summary Explanation/Background:

Approval of this Resolution will allow the recommended Hola Mundo Beach and Surf Camp to install a temporarily artwork in the City. The PAC has recommended approval of the temporary installation at the beach restroom pavilion located at 100 Pompano Beach Blvd. This will be the second temporary art installation completed between the City and the Camp. The artwork will be installed and de-installed by City staff. The donated temporary artwork will be installed for a minimum of six (6) months unless unrepairable damages occur prior. An indemnification clause in the Agreement stating that the City is not to be held responsible for any damages of the artwork while the artwork is installed on City property is included in the Agreement.

In accordance with Section § 160.04  POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE COMMITTEE, the Public Art Committee has the power to make recommendations to the City Commission on art, artist selection and artwork location.
