summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

The Utilities Department has contracted with Line-Tec Inc. to continue performing reuse connections for single family homes in our service areas (Pompano Beach and Lighthouse Point). The connection is performed using a minimally disruptive, underground boring process which is specialized. Our customers are enthusiastic about this method as their properties appear the same after the connection is completed. The Utilities Department remains committed to our goal of increasing the number of single-family residential properties connected to reuse through our I Can Water program. Reuse connection is vital in securing a sustainable water supply for the future, as customers will use reuse water for irrigation and save finite potable water.
