summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

A parking agreement was approved on July 12, 2005 by Resolution (2005-269), where the property owners at the time (Pompano Business Center, LLC) & the City of Pompano Beach entered into an agreement allowing an off-site parking lot (Parcel ID: 484221100160) to satisfy on-site (2504 - 2536 NW 19 Street) parking demand.  The executed parking agreement was recorded in Broward County Records (Instrument #: 105273394). The circumstances that required the original parking agreement have changed.  In 2005, a call center was proposed in an industrial building designed for a warehouse.  The property wasn’t developed with sufficient parking to have a call center, and in order to accommodate the parking demand a parking lot off-site was constructed.  The call center operated for several years, but recently vacated the building.  The tenants of the building have returned to industrial uses and updated certificate of occupancies (CO’s) have been issued for industrial uses.  The property owners are requesting to terminate the parking agreement, so that the property can be redeveloped without unnecessary parking limitations.
