Summary Explanation/Background:

Invitation to Bid (ITB) #T-11-23 was issued to establish an annual agreement for the purchase of carbon dioxide for the Water Treatment Plant to be ordered as needed for the City.  For this purchase, the City serves as the lead agency for the thirty-nine (39) participating members of the Southeast Florida Governmental Purchasing Cooperative Group.  Based upon the response from Airgas USA, LLC and the City’s portion of the estimated usage, the annual expenditures for the initial period of carbon dioxide is $315,000.00 with the possibility of two additional one-year renewals. Bid award is recommended to the sole responsive, responsible bidder Airgas USA, LLC.  City Commission approval of this contract award is requested.
