Summary Explanation/Background:

The Public Works Department requests approval to piggyback FDOT Contract #BDZ45, for the relocation of ninety-seven (97) palm trees from the I-95 Corridor to City facilities. The tree relocation is necessary for the construction of express traffic lanes on I-95.  FDOT Contract #BDZ45: Districtwide General Landscape Services, which is valid through April 1, 2020, is based on a competitive solicitation, and the City Code allows us to piggyback a contract of this type.  The total cost of the tree relocation is $179,935.00.  City Commission approval of this action is requested.
