Summary Explanation/Background:

The Applicant Steve Pavlou, a single-family home owner is requesting the abandonment of a 5-foot utility easement located at 605 SE 28 Avenue.  The applicant is proposing to construct an in-ground swimming pool.  The area to be abandoned is approximately 362.5 square feet. This request was tabled for 60 days from the September Planning & Zoning (P & Z) hearing, at the request of the applicant. At the December 21, 2016 P & Z hearing, the Board unanimously recommended approval with 2 conditions that had to be met prior to placement on the City Commission agenda. Both conditions have been satisfied. The second condition, which required an agreement with Teco Gas Company was satisfied through a letter provided by the Company (included in the attachments). A copy of the December 21, 2016 minutes Planning & Zoning meeting is attached.
