Summary Explanation/Background:

Staff is seeking City Commission approval to award a professional services contract to the Wantman Group, Inc. (“WGI”) to conduct Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services related to the Fishing Pier Replacement Project in the sum of $747,230.00 including $56,280.00 set aside in contingency. WGI will conduct periodic inspections, fill out and submit responses to government agencies’ inquiries, assist with plan review and field verification, help design and permit the bait and tackle shop, assist with project administration (review pay applications, attend progress meetings, etc.), and ultimately certify the project. Staff recommends approval.
