Summary Explanation/Background:
The ordinance is a five year agreement between the City and The School Board of Broward County providing for the use of school buses for city recreational purposes. The current license agreement expires June 30, 2017. This is a long standing agreement that we’ve been renewing yearly and now the School Board and City have agreed to enter into a five year agreement instead of a one year agreement. The School Board of Broward County will be approving this agreement at their June 13, 2017 board meeting. The new lease agreement shall commence upon execution by both parties and conclude on May 31, 2022 unless terminated by either party.

Fiscal impact and source of funding: Fiscal Impact will depend on the amount of buses used during the fiscal year. Payment will be made from the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Arts Budget - 001-3920-572-55-40 - Athletics and Other Programs
