Summary Explanation/Background:

Pursuant to City Ordinances, the City Manager is required to submit the recommended budget and an explanatory budget message to the City Commission at least 60 days prior to the start of the new fiscal year.

Based on the available budget hearing dates, staff is recommending that the public hearing required for the adoption of the tentative budget be held Wednesday, September 13th, 2017 at 5:15 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers.  The final hearing and adoption of the budget is recommended to be held on Wednesday, September 20th, 2017 at 5:15 p.m. in the City Commission Chambers.

Hard copies of the Recommended Operating/Capital and Line Item Detail Budget Books will be placed on the dais and electronic versions will be uploaded online on July 11th, 2017 to our website: http://pompanobeachfl.gov/index.php/pages/budget/budget  

Discussions on the recommended budget for FY 2018 will take place during the July budget workshop scheduled for July 17th, 2017.
