Summary Explanation/Background:

The first amendment to the license agreement Ordinance 2015- 61 is between the City and LS Events to conduct an annual Brazilian Festival at the City’s Community Park and Amphitheatre.  
The amendments include modifying the festival site, enhancing the scope of work to include a ticket price for the festival, adding an additional day, and modifying City’s expenses for the festival. 
The City is authorizing the use of the premises for multi-day activities, furnishing supplies, equipment, facilities, and necessary personnel for the Annual Brazilian Festival as shown in Exhibit 7 of the License Agreement. 

 

Origin of request for this action: Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts staff

Fiscal impact and source of funding: Estimated costs of $232,327.50 for 3 events over the next 3 years broken down into the following categories:  $183,791.70 in-kind services and $48,535.80 hard costs paid by Working Capital Reserves in the General Fund (Exhibit 7).
