Summary Explanation/Background:
The City of Pompano Beach is a HUD entitlement community. As such, we receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME grant funding that we allocate to local non-profit organizations and City departments that administer public service, housing, public facilities, economic development and infrastructure for our residents. This year, the City’s allocation is $913,486 for CDBG and $314,917 for HOME totaling $1,228,403. OHUI requests approval of the Plan so that it can be advertised for the required 15-day public comment period and submitted to HUD by its August 15th filing deadline.
