Summary Explanation/Background:

This item is requesting the extension of the City’s contract with Denison Parking, Inc. for an additional one (1) year period.   Denison currently serves in the capacity of Parking Ambassador for the City, which includes assisting residents and working closely with the Broward Sheriff’s Office in reporting any issues, which may adversely impact the City and its residents.  Denison also oversees the parking enforcement function, maintenance of metered equipment, collection of funds from metered parking equipment, sale of resident permits/parking passes and day to day operations at the Pier Parking Garage.  Denison has been an integral part in the evolvement of the City’s parking infrastructure and staff recommends extension of their contract.
