Summary Explanation/Background:
The First Amendment Agreement is to provide an extension term of the agreement for one additional five year period, ending September 30, 2023. The fees for the contract will be adjusted in accordance with the applicable Consumer Price Index for the South Urban Area as outlined in Article 5, Section B of the original agreement. The agreement also provides for an additional provision as outlined in Exhibit 18, in which Cypress Golf will re-turf 19 putting greens for a fee not to exceed $220,000. The City will reimburse 50% of the costs based on a five year payment plan as described in Exhibit 18.

Fiscal impact and source of funding: The annual fiscal impact for the five year renewal will be $1,604,084 and $25,000 annually for the reimbursement of the 19 putting greens to be re-turfed.
