summary
Summary Explanation/Background:
This is a City-initiated Petition requesting to abandon a triangular canal-corner right-of-way adjacent to NE 26th Avenue and 2600 NE 5th Street, since it is considered not necessary for public use. The owner of the adjacent property, who will receive the abandoned area, has signed a Sight Visibility Agreement (attached), which is also on this City Commission agenda (File ID: 18-642). This request was unanimously recommended for approval at the December 16, 2015 Planning & Zoning Board meeting (minutes are attached) with two conditions, which have both been met. The second of these conditions required the mentioned Easement Agreement, which had been the reason for the delay in moving forward until now.
Origin of request for this action: City of Pompano Beach
Fiscal impact and source of funding: N/A
