Summary Explanation/Background:
Request for Qualifications (RFQ) #E-55-18 was issued to select a firm to provide professional consulting services to the City for design, bidding, and construction phase services to the City for the Public Safety Complex. The intent of this RFQ, through a competitive process pursuant to Florida Statutes, Chapter 287.055, Consultants Competitive Negotiations Act (CCNA), is to select the most qualified firm based on ranking. City Commission approval of the ranking order presented by the Selection/Evaluation Committee is requested, and authorization is requested for appropriate City staff to negotiate a contract with the highest ranked firm as detailed above. Further authorization is requested to continue with the succeeding ranked firms should an impasse occur in the negotiations with the recommended firm. The General Services Department performed outreach to local engineering and architectural firms to inform them about this project. A total of seven (7) local companies were notified. Commission approval is requested.
