Summary Explanation/Background:
The attached contract with Calvin, Giordano and Associates, Inc. is for consulting services to update the City’s Comprehensive Plan. Though many single-purpose amendments have been done over the years, the Comprehensive Plan has not been updated in its entirety since 2010. This contract with CGA will provide consulting services to provide a re-evaluation of every element in the Plan as well as a new Climate Change Element for consistency with Broward County and the South Florida Climate Change Compact, of which Pompano is a member. The full scope of services to be provided by CGA is attached to the contract (Exhibit A), along with the Request for Letters of Interest issued by the City and CGA’s response to the RLI (Exhibit B). The approval of the #1 ranking of CGA was provided by the City Commission on December 11, 2018.
