Summary Explanation/Background:
In accordance with Section § 160.04 POWERS AND DUTIES OF THE COMMITTEE, the Public Art Committee has the power to make recommendations to the City Commission on art, artist selection and artwork location.
Resolution #2019-05 between the City Commission of the City of Pompano Beach, Florida, approving and authorizing the proper City Officials to execute an agreement for commissioned artwork between the City of Pompano Beach and Cherie Saleeby, was executed on October 9, 2018. The original Resolution #2019-05 was for a five (5) month agreement between the City of Pompano Beach and Cherie Saleeby. The agreement will expire on March 28, 2019. The City needs to extend the agreement for an additional four (4) months due to unanticipated circumstances. Staff is recommending approval of this extension to allow Cherie Saleeby to complete the commissioned artwork.
