Summary Explanation/Background:

The Utilities Department is leading the Cities of Coral Springs, Coconut Creek, Margate and North Lauderdale to study the C-14 canal to look for ways to improve water quality
that flows through our city.


The State recommended a multijurisdictional approach with one City as the lead. As the project lead city, Pompano Beach will pay the upfront costs and will be reimbursed by the other cities

 

Origin of request for this action: Utilities

Fiscal impact and source of funding: $44,644.  City portion is $8,928.80 from account 425-3805-538-31-60.  The remaining amount will be provided by the other four municipalities.
