The Public Works Department requests approval to replace fencing, at the Municipal Cemetery, from Bauer Construction Corp., the awarded bidder per Broward County Contract #X2114362B1: Fencing - New, Repairs and Replacement Services. The chain link fence and concrete block surrounding the municipal cemetery is in poor condition and needs to be repaired by replacement. The scope of this CIP project will provide new steel picket fencing to encompass the North and South cemetery lawns as shown on attached map which will match the West/Central lawn fencing which was recently accomplished. Total cost for the fencing is $ $169,372.50 per the Broward County contract, which is valid through February 26, 2019. The contract is a competitive solicitation, and the City Code allows us to piggyback a contract of this type. City Commission approval of this action is requested.
