Summary Explanation/Background:
This Amendment to our five-year service agreement with SiteSecure not to exceed $1,000,000, is for the purchase, installation, and maintenance of ALPR (Automatic License Plate Recognition) and Video Security equipment and services. The original agreement had a maximum not to exceed for $500,000. This amendment provides for an additional $500,000. This is being put forward to the City Commission as an ordinance for a bid waiver due to standardization that is allowed for in the General Services Manual.
SiteSecure installed our ALPR system as a subcontractor of Johnson Controls who was awarded a contract with RFP H-45-13 “Automatic License Plate Recognition System” and is the only certified and approved Genetec AutoVu vendor for the Southeast US territory that can sell and service our existing Genetec System. SiteSecure holds the CJIS (Criminal Justice Information System) certification required to work with this sensitive data.
Having SiteSecure perform installations and maintenance will ensure the proper functionality and timely completion of future ALPR and Video Security projects.
