Summary Explanation/Background:

Pursuant to Section 253 Article XXV of the City’s Charter the City Commission declared the northern 56 feet of the real property located 1549 NW 18th Street, Pompano Beach, FL 33069 also identified as Broward County Property Appraiser (BCPA) folio 4842 27 00 0335 as surplus March 12, 2019 with Resolution 2019-128.

One bid was received from Paramount Park, LLC in the amount of $26,500.00 with a proposal to unify the parcel with the adjacent folio(s) to be developed as office and warehouse space as shown in the conceptual site plan submitted with the bid. The amount bid includes $25,000.00 to pay for the replacement fence around Lift Station 101 on the City’s remaining portion of the property and $1,500.00 for the surplus property, which exceeds the BCPA market value of $1,310.00 for the entire folio and $842.25 for the portion of the folio declared as surplus.

Development Services has reviewed the bid and provided a memo, included in the agenda item backup, confirming the proposed use meets the requirements of the Zoning code.

After reviewing the bid response with the City Manager it is recommended the award for 19-01 be made to the single responsive, responsible bidder Paramount Park, LLC for a purchase price of $26,500.00.
