The City of Pompano Beach owns the property located at 937 SW 12 Avenue, Pompano Beach, FL 33069, also identified as Broward County Property Appraiser (BCPA) folio 4942 03 00 0564. The property is a 4,200 square foot lot, zoned I-1 General Industrial, surrounded on all four sides by folio 4942 03 31 0010.

The adjacent property owner Southeastern Freight Lines, Inc. who owns 933 SW 12 Avenue, BCPA folio 494203310010 has begun the site plan process to expand the existing warehouse and loading docks on their 24.03 acre property and expressed an interest in purchasing 937 SW 12 Avenue owned by the City. The property owned by the City cannot be developed unless unified with the adjacent property owned by Southeastern Freight Lines, Inc. Exhibit 1 is an aerial showing the property owned by Southeastern Freight Lines, Inc. in relation to the property owned by the City.

Section 253 Article XXV of the Charter of the City of Pompano Beach requires the City Commission adopt a resolution to declare the property as surplus. The property will then be offered for sale to the public, with an invitation for bids, with a notice published in a newspaper of general circulation in the City. The invitation for bids will be posted on the City website on the Real Property page. Sealed bids will be submitted to the City Clerk's office by the date and time specified in the public notice. Responsive bids will be presented to the Commission as a regular agenda item.
