Summary Explanation/Background:
NE 14th Street Causeway is a state road owned and maintained by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). Based on public requests and evaluations conducted by BSO, it has been determined that installation of two (2) electronic speed display signs (solar powered) on the north and south sides near the bridge is warranted and may mitigate speeding issues. Since this is FDOT right-of-way, the FDOT is requiring City to enter a Maintenance Memorandum of Agreement (MMOA) with FDOT in order to have these signs installed within their right-of-way.
