Summary Explanation/Background:
Staff is seeking City Commission approval of an Ordinance to enter into an agreement with Synalovski Romanik Saye, LLC (“SRS”) to provide professional architectural services for the proposed Fire Administration, Logistics and Emergency Operations Center facility to be located in the vicinity of the Public Safety Building (see Fire-EOC Location Map). SRS will provide architectural, structural engineering, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and communications engineering, civil engineering, landscape architecture, LEED process, site and building signage and surveying professional services. In addition, SRS will provide construction administration services leading to final certification of the project. The project entails design and construction of new 25,000- 30,000 sq. ft. building to house fire administration and logistics as well as a new, state-of-the-art emergency operations center (see Fire EOC Rendering). The site will be supplemented by a garage with sufficient capacity for personnel and emergency vehicles.
