Summary Explanation/Background:
The initial agreement between the City and Broward County identified 60 bus shelters to be provided/installed by the County which the City committed to maintain and repair. This amendment adds 31 more bus shelters, again provided and installed by the County which the City must maintain and repair. Selection criteria for which stops received shelters was based on available Right of way to accommodate the shelter and bus ridership data meeting a minimum requirement of 20 boardings per day. No advertisements will be permitted on any of these Bus Shelters.
