Summary Explanation/Background:

The resolution is the second amendment to the license agreement with National Flag Football Association, Inc. to provide leadership, administrative and coaching services for flag football games and practices for elementary school age children.  The licensee will provide the program at North Pompano Park and pay the City $20 per child registered to participate in the program each season.  The license agreement is being extended for an additional one year term, ending March 15, 2018.

 

For the License Agreement for March 16, 2015 - March 16, 2016, the organization had 81 participants and paid the city $1,620.  For the License Agreement for March 16, 2016 to March 2017, the organization had 31 participants and paid the city $620.00.

 

The license agreement comes under the Strategic Plan - Great Places - 2.4.2 - Establish three (3) partnerships with local, national and international event organizers to secure sports business in the area.
