Summary Explanation/Background:
The City Charter provides that the City Commission shall appoint an officer of the City who shall have the title of Internal Auditor. Due to the recent retirement announcement of the City's Internal Auditor, Barbara DeLeon, to be effective March 1, 2017, the City has commenced the process to select a new Internal Auditor. The attached resolution is to recommend that we appoint Deputy Internal Auditor, Deusdedit Kiyemba, to the Interim Internal Auditor position with a recommended 15% increase to the incumbent’s base pay while the recruitment process is proceeding. Attached is Mr. Kiyemba’s resume.
