summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

The City’s Public Art Committee is completing a multi-year Mosaic Team Project pursuant to the Public Art Master Plan. The Mosaic Team would like to use studio space and the kiln at the Bailey Contemporary Arts (BaCA) for the Project’s lead artist and five apprentices to work and fabricate mosaic and ceramic tiles. CRA staff is agreeable to allowing the use of the studio M3 space and kiln for this project. The License Agreement between the CRA and the City of Pompano Beach is for a period for four years beginning October 2016 and there will be no fee for the use of the studio space. This agreement is a great opportunity to converge the City and CRA’s efforts to bring cultural arts into the community.
