Summary Explanation/Background:
At a previous Commission action on November 10, 2015, Commission approved supporting of the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization's (MPO) 2017-2019 mobility projects for the City, consisting of six (6) projects to be completed by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). In recent communications with the MPO/FDOT, they indicated that since FDOT will be responsible for construction of these projects, we must seek Commission approval for a second time showing support of FDOT, since the previous Commission action did not include FDOT in the Resolution. They have also indicated that they will not be able to move forward with these projects unless Commission supports FDOT.
