summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

The Pompano Beach East Transit Oriented Corridor (ETOC) Land Use Plan Amendment (LUPA) was transmitted to the DEO and the State Agencies for review concurrent with the County Land Use Plan Amendment for the same project in January, 2017.  The City received the results of that review on February 28, 2017 and Chapter 163 allows 180 days after that date to adopt the amendment.  The City is taking longer to adopt because of the desire to conduct the Traffic Analysis and adopt the new zoning code and rezone the subject property concurrent with approval of the ETOC LUPA.  The attached Resolution meets the Chapter 163 requirements for extending the 180 adoption period until no later than January 23, 2018.
