summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

The resolution is approving entering into a five year Interlocal Agreement between the City of Pompano Beach and City of Lighthouse Point to host an Annual Nautical Flea Market.  The two cities have been hosting the Annual Nautical Flea Market since 2007 and are entering into a new interlocal agreement to continue hosting the event.  The event will be held in Pompano Community Park the last weekend in January for a five year period.   As in the past both cities split the gross revenues less expenses in an equal (50%) manner.

We received a letter from the City of Lighthouse Point informing us they are interested in partnering with us to continue hosting the Annual Nautical Flea Market.  The City of Lighthouse Point will have the agreement on their October 10, 2017, City Commission Meeting.
