Summary Explanation/Background:
The existing lime slakers systems at the City’s Water Treatment Plant are nearly 20 years old, and no longer have replacement parts available and are at their end of life. Work Authorization No. 3’s intent is to replace both slakers with new units. As per the service contract between Odyssey Manufacturing Co. and the City approved per Resolution 2016-232, and amended per Resolution 2017-272, we are hereby requesting City Commission approval of this Work Authorization

Fiscal impact and source of funding: $406,200. Funding for these services will be expensed to Utilities WTP Recarbonation Feed System Rehab CIP # 16-287 account.
