Background:
Pursuant to the direction of the Mayor and City Commission an executive committee, comprised of Assistant City Manager, Suzette Sibble, Finance Director, Andrew Jean-Pierre, Public Works Director, Rob McCaughan and Human Resources Director, Ed Beecher was established to screen, rank and interview applicants for the position of Internal Auditor. On November 15, 2017, the City Commission met individually with the three (3) finalist recommended by the executive committee and conducted a personal interview with each candidate. Attached please find a ranking provided by each Commissioner for each candidate. As agreed by the City Commission for the ranking process, each Commissioner was asked to give each candidate a ranking of 1, 2, or 3; with one (1) being the first choice. The attached matrix confirms the following results of the ranking process:
First - Deusdedit Kiyemba
Second - William Brown
Third - Michael Hewett
Recommendation:
It is respectfully requested the City Commission approve a Resolution appointing Deusdedit Kiyemba to the position of Internal Auditor.
