summary

Summary Explanation/Background:

Resolution 2017-295 approved on July 25, 2018 extended the 180 day time frame for adoption of the ETOC land use plan amendment (LUPA) to January 23, 2018.  The purpose of the extension was to allow the zoning code to be adopted concurrently with the LUPA. The P&Z Board reviewed the zoning on December 20, 2017 and requested that one aspect of the zoning code (alcoholic business establishment distance requirements from day care and church uses) be revisited prior to first reading by City Commission.  Staff has determined that responding to this request requires another P&Z hearing and thus another extension to the adoption deadline for the ETOC LUPA.  Staff is suggesting a date of “on or before April 24th, 2018”.
