Summary Explanation/Background:
Staff is seeking City Commission approval to enter into a Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) with Broward County. This agreement will enable Broward County to proceed with installation of a new traffic signal at the intersection of MLK Boulevard and Blount Road (see location map). In addition, the agreement stipulates Broward County and City of Pompano Beach funding contributions for design and construction services. Broward County will supervise the construction and submit an invoice to the City. The design is complete and approved. Staff recommends approval.
