Summary Explanation/Background:
The City’s contract with Hardrives expired July 23, 2019. Unfortunately the terms of the contract did not include multiple renewal periods, as was done with previous paving contracts. This item seeks Commission approval to reinstate the terms and conditions of the expired contract with new termination date of July 23, 2020 and provides the option to renew the agreement for an additional two (2), one (1) year terms. This contract will be used to accomplish City-wide paving with the $810,000 budgeted in the CIP Paving project, 07-925, as well as other paving requirements that may develop in FY20.
